I seem to have a thing for little villages at the moment. I've been drawn to making little cottages, whether it be cereal box versions for Maggie's train track or applique on my sewing projects.......and I'm loving it. I bought this pink cord dress in a charity shop this week, took off the horrible frilly collar thingy that was on it, did 'the village' applique around the bottom and made some binding for the neck and sleeves.
Still a few windows and doors to go! And I also started on a new 'school' bag for Maggie.

The Great Apron Swap 2010 will be going in the post today so pop back in a week or so and I'll put up some pics once I know it's been received by
Damaris. Have fun peeps x

The fabric village looks wonderful. I've got an embroidery book with a lovely pattern for a citiscape. I must have a go.
Isn't binding a wonderful way of finishing off a garment. The little village is super cute.
