Agfest 2010

There's nothing like a good country fair to get me "all pumped up on mountain dew"and Agfest is a whole lotta' country fair. With five massive craft sheds, a gourmet food pavillion, agricultural tools and machinery, eco/sustainable living information, demonstrations, tractors, steam engines, farm animals galore and fair dinkum cowboys. It's a great day out for any legitimate or wannabe country bumpkin. With over 700 exhibitors and 70000 patrons.......it's massive!

I also grabbed the opportunity to do some talent spotting for my new project, my very special market. Here's a peek at the best of the best who I'll be looking forward to inviting to my market when it starts later in the year - sorry about the not so great photos. It was so busy I had to be quick!

Purses, bags, pencil cases made from pvc coated vintage inspired fabrics and childrens clothes.

Dolly Designs
Old school kitsch dolls clothes. Contact the lovely Rosalyn on 03 6244 1060.

Beautiful childrens hair accessories and clothes.

Handcrafted biscuit and pastry cutters.

All natural soaps and body products.

Red wine and fruit juice blend spritzer - one of my favourites!

Fine gourmet olives and oils.

Spinning, felting and knitting supplies - beautiful coloured yarn.

Fun, educational bright coloured mdf puzzles.

Traditional puppets, puppet theatres and funky furry glove puppets.

It was great having time to have a proper look at the craft stalls whilst Kim and Maggie went looking at tools, engines and animals! We then met up for lunch...........hmmmm what to have when there is sooooo many lovely things to choose from. I decided to bypass savouries and go straight for the sweet and plumped (rather literally) for the Raspberry Farm deserts.

After lunch we watched the clever sheepdogs, the arabian horses and went shoppping. Here's what followed us home from Agfest 2010.
